Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

These Terms are maintained in English. If we provide a translation or summary in another language, it is for reading convenience only. The English version controls to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Important before using CouplesGPT

These Terms explain the agreement between you and CouplesGPT when you use our websites, mobile apps, chat features, subscription flows, support tools, and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, using the Service, or continuing to use it after these Terms are updated, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by CouplesGPT ("CouplesGPT", "we", "us", or "our"). Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@couplesgpt.ai.

2. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your account credentials secure. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us promptly.

3. Relationship support, not professional care

CouplesGPT is an AI relationship self-help product. It is not a licensed therapist, doctor, lawyer, emergency responder, or crisis service. It does not provide medical diagnosis, mental-health treatment, legal advice, or emergency support.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, call local emergency services. If you are dealing with self-harm, abuse, coercion, domestic violence, stalking, or another safety risk, seek help from qualified local professionals or crisis resources. Do not rely on CouplesGPT as your only source of support in a crisis.

4. How couple, solo, intake, and private spaces work

CouplesGPT is built around both shared relationship work and individual reflection. The privacy boundary is different for each space:

You should also assume that a partner who can view a shared conversation can copy, screenshot, or discuss it outside the Service. We cannot control what another account holder does with information they can see.

5. Partner access, pairing, and separation

When you invite or accept a partner, you create a shared couple space. Either partner may disconnect from the other through available account controls. Disconnecting changes future access and relationship context, but it may not erase copies, screenshots, billing records, support records, or historical data that must be retained for legitimate purposes.

6. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

Paid access may be offered through Stripe, the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another payment platform shown at checkout. Prices, trial terms, renewals, taxes, discounts, and cancellation options are shown before purchase or inside the platform that manages the subscription.

One active subscription may cover both partners in a couple. Usage limits, discounts, trials, and renewal-cycle resets may depend on the subscription owner, platform rules, and the couple's current pairing state. Deleting your CouplesGPT account is not a substitute for cancelling an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription; those subscriptions must be cancelled through the store account that owns them. Refunds are handled under the rules of the payment platform and applicable law.

7. Your content and permission to operate the Service

You keep ownership of the messages, uploads, feedback, and other content you submit. You give CouplesGPT permission to host, process, transmit, store, display, summarize, analyze, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate, maintain, secure, personalize, troubleshoot, and improve the Service. This permission ends when your content is deleted from active systems, except where retention is allowed or required by these Terms, the Privacy Policy, platform rules, backups, law, security, accounting, dispute handling, or legitimate business needs.

8. Feedback

If you send us ideas, bug reports, screenshots, feature requests, testimonials, or other feedback, you allow us to use that feedback to fix, improve, market, and operate the Service without owing you compensation. We will handle personal data in feedback under the Privacy Policy.

9. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

10. Product changes and availability

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also suspend or terminate access if we believe an account creates legal, security, safety, payment, abuse, or operational risk. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every country, language, device, or platform.

11. Intellectual property

CouplesGPT owns the Service, including our brand, software, designs, prompts, workflows, generated interface elements, and other product materials, except for content owned by users or licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create competing services from CouplesGPT materials unless we give written permission or the law allows it.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how conversation spaces affect privacy, and how to make privacy requests. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent allowed by law, CouplesGPT disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. CouplesGPT outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, inappropriate for your situation, or misunderstood. You are responsible for evaluating outputs and for decisions you make about your relationship, safety, health, finances, legal rights, or other matters.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CouplesGPT will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, emotional distress, relationship harm, loss of goodwill, or service interruption arising from or related to the Service. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid CouplesGPT for the Service in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100. Some laws do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

15. Indemnity

To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold CouplesGPT harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your content, your use or misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules. To the fullest extent allowed by law, any dispute must be brought individually and not as part of a class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

17. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If an update is material, we will take reasonable steps to surface it in the Service or by other appropriate means. The "Last updated" date shows when the current version took effect. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
